In this episode, I’m sharing a pattern I’ve noticed in my own relationships that I like to call the “bait and switch.” It’s when I show up as the friendly, outgoing, people-pleasing version of myself in the beginning, only to eventually reveal my true, more introverted and independent nature later down the line.
I talk about how this pattern has created challenges in my friendships and relationships, and how easy it is to compromise our own needs in an effort to make others happy. This episode is an invitation to look at where you might be doing your own version of the bait and switch, whether that be with your goals, desires, friends, or relationship to yourself, and how showing up as your authentic self from the beginning can create more genuine connections.
